Typing

Wow, after 3 months, I’ve decided to quit looking for a job. I made this decision on Sunday, after 3 months of no-gos and dead ends, and not really being able to give transcription my all because I’m always looking for jobs or going to interviews (only 2) or talking to people and finding out the job is the wrong hours, etc. etc.

So this morning I found out a trans job I did briefly over the summer, that put me on hold because they got slow, have added me back on! So I’ll have 5 active contracts again.

God is Good! And it’s nice to feel at peace about this….

Now if one of the 100 or 200 jobs I applied for actually CALLS me for an interview, that will be another story but we’ll see …

No time!

So what’s taking my time? All kinds of things!

  • working
  • trying to clean house
  • learning the Dave Ramsey method of financing
  • occasionally exercising, but eating too much candy
  • Seeing Chris!
  • Overseeing Colleen & Ryan
  • Checking out facebook (my user name is dori typesalot) and finding old friends on there.
  • Cooking homecooked meals to save money!
  • Planning Christmas a bit ahead of time
  • Doing Chris’s guardianship papers for him turning 18
  • Suffering from colds - like two in a row - yuck!
  • Watching with amazement the leaves turn red and then all of the sudden today they’re all off the trees…
  • Enjoying our first snow earlier this week.
  • Happy Thanksgiving, if I’m not back on before that, and keep checking the Flickr pics on the right!

I love the first snow of the year. It’s just so beautiful.

    Last week’s trip & Halloween!

I seem to be unable to handle NaBloPoMo this year - maybe next year!!

Pictures of last week’s outing—more soon!

Halloween, Ryan at Taco Bell, Colleen & Ashleigh

    NaBloPoMo, and Chris

Ha! Can I do this year?

I barely did it last year.

    Hmmmmmm… Thinking.

We’re seeing Chris today and going to chiropractor and take him for a ride!

    I’ll post Halloween pics tomorrow - that’s post #2!

    Atwood Lake, ‘08

I wanted to post our pictures of the trip to Atwood Lake with Rick and Nance. Unfortunately Rog had sprained his ankle and was unable to come. Hopefully we can all get together again soon. We were going to bring Chris but needed Rog to come for that. It was strange to go without Chris.

I’d not driven anywhere that long for a while either - and was proud of myself that I kept up with Nancy the whole way there - the traffic was heavy and I lost her a few times — It was about 2 hours away.

Where’s Chris? At the blue house…

Ryan has been asking about him and should be seeing him tonight (we’re going to take him to the chiropractor with us - his first car ride with us!) Ryan says, “Where’s Chris? At the Blue house.” Then he said, “Where’s Doreen? No Doreen.”

We are very busy still - the dog didn’t work out - we had to take him back to a home last Saturday. He was too rough with Ryan. If you look at that one picture of Ryan with the towel on his head, he was afraid of the dog.

I’ve been typing a lot again, and trying to clean house.

I need to update here more!

They’re not in any of her classes. She got to three classes and then came home sick. We have all had a bad cold. Today she’s going to go in for the other half of the day - so I’ll find out when 4th period starts and drop her off for that.

We’re having Chris’s meeting today for attendance. The only thing that made me nervous is they said they had to discuss his need for a one on one with the director and that it would be director’s call to approve it. I hate him to have another change. I hope they give him an opportunity to stay and get used to everything.

I had yesterday off which was nice - had meetings and cleaned the office. But I wish I had today off too. I am going to take time now (was up early for Colleen’s bus) to set up this third computer we got from Rog’s aunt and clean just a little more, then start typing at 8 when Ryan is gone….

Hey, if anyone still actually reads this can you just comment and let me know? I need to possibly republicize this on technorati, etc. as I don’t know if it’s even on the blog links anymore or what’s going on. I know my business blog seems pretty dead too - just haven’t had time to update anything.
